5.0 out of 5 stars Truly enjoyed It! October 8, 2013

After reading the first 2 books, I was really looking forward to this one and I wasn't disappointed. Ava has moved to a secret location and not even her father knows where she is in an effort to heal and recover from Cyrus' rejection. She's got to rebuild her life and she manages to do exactly that in Ireland. During the time she is gone, her father has married and she has a new baby brother, and its the baby that starts to tear down the walls she's built to protect herself from additional hurt. She finally tells her father where she is and he, his wife Perry and Baby Finn come to visit her. Once they leave and go back home, she's content until she wakes with a foreboding feeling and immediately calls her father to find out that Finn has been kidnapped. Only for Finn would she fly home and have to endure being around Cyrus, but she has to help find Finn. Cyrus is determined to break down the walls of her heart and get her back, but its an uphill climb. Again, the story can stand all on its own and has sexual tension without all the porn most of the shifter/werewolf stories have. Completely enjoyed this series and will be rereading it a few times. Keep up the great work Katie!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Cyrus vs the world October 4, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I kinda skipped the second book thinking that this was the final book but I guess there's another one after this and I like how this one ended, it leaves the reader with a few certain thoughts. You can tell Cyrus still has it for his girl and you can tell that as hard as she tries Ava is trying to move on (even if she might be faking it for her own sanity) "we're just dating right now Cyrus. Most relationships, normal relationships take time to mature. I'm happy with the way things are right now and so is Rory. And that's all that matters. And Cyrus, not to be rude, but it's really none of your business." Cyrus is on a damn mission and let me tell you what that boy is going for the damn gold, "I know you didn't. But touching you again, kissing you again has been the best thing that's happened to me in two years." He's possessive I think more so in this book then the first, "Cyrus moved closer and leaned down to where their noses were almost touching. "If I ever see another man touch you ever again, I'm going to kill him." He also let's Rory know the score now that he's back, "I'm here to get my mate back. Ava and I are working on our trust issues and our communication skills for the time being, but you can consider us together."

4 of 5 stars
bookshelves: werewolves, lost-love, read-2013, romance-green, read-2014

Read from October 25, 2013 to July 06, 2014

This one was great. It picks up about a year and a half after the last book ends, which was nice. The last book had a lot of drama and Ava really went through the ringer. I was glad she was able to escape and take the time to really heal. She is in hiding in Ireland and finally happy again. She's at a good place and ready to reconnect with her dad and meet her new little brother. Nothing is ever easy when it comes to the town of Paskell and soon Ava finds herself hurrying back to the one place she doesn't want to go.

I love lost-love stories, they are one of my favorite plots so I loved seeing Ava and Cyrus reunited. While I thought Cyrus made a poor decision in the last book, I could understand why he did it. He had really been through a lot and I think he was just pushed over the edge. It was nice to see how much he suffered having Ava out of his life for almost two years (does that make me sound mean?). I think it was good for both of them. I liked that Ava didn't give right in and that they had to work to figure things out again.

There is of course some drama in this one and Ava is there to save the day once again. I thought this was a fun installment.

5.0 out of 5 stars Can't get enough! May 14, 2014

I love this series and always enjoy reading the books over and over again! Ava is a sassy young girl who has found herself and has tons of strength and courage to be who and what she want's to be. in this book we see how Ava must return to Canada to help find her little brother and because she goes back we get to see how she reacts to Cyrus and how he reacts to her returning home!
